The Los Angeles Clippers have their eyes on the prize once again this season as they remain one of the best teams in the NBA. Although the Clippers are expected to be a legitimate contender to win it all once the NBA playoffs begin, star forward Kawhi Leonard is dealing with a foot issue, which is obviously a concern considering his impact on the team.

Leonard opened up about his foot injury recently, giving some insight on his condition and whether it will be a problem moving forward. The two-time NBA champion tried to set people’s minds at ease with a promising update via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.

“I’m feeling good,” Leonard said in his first comments since April 9. “We took the proper steps to get me right, to make sure nothing significant is wrong with me … so hopefully we can just keep moving up from here.”

This is obviously a great sign for the Clippers as they’ll need a healthy Leonard to get through what will be a highly competitive Western Conference playoffs. If he is indeed not concerned about his foot issue, the Clippers will be in a good position to do some damage in the West, with Paul George coming into form as Kawhi’s right-hand man.

Leonard has played in 47 games this season for the Clippers averaging 25.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 51.7 percent from the floor and 39.7 percent from beyond the arc.
